Over the past year, I have had the pleasure to get to know (and photograph) Ania the Dainty Warrior. When my daughter Zoe and Ania met, they became instant buddies. Our families really enjoy playing outdoors and together we enjoyed some fun nature walks and adventures around town. We were all shocked when Ania was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma, a rare cancer of the retina. Her family sprung to action immediately. She fought hard and although she lost her eye, she is about to complete her last treatment and be cancer free!
It's been amazing to watch Ania transform throughout this journey. She has flown through cancer with the spirit and bravery of a warrior. With her graceful moves and her wings fluttering in the wind, Ania brings joy and hope to other kids fighting their own battles with cancer. Pleaes checkout Ania's story and find out how you can help the cause. http://daintywarrior.blogspot.com/2014/08/spreading-her-wings-to-others.html Here are a few of my favorites from a recent shoot, where Ania showed off her new amazing eye :) She takes her dance moves very seriously. A true artist for sure!!! All Images © 2014 Eva Suerth Sweet baby Nathan, 8 days old.
He was photographed, with his incredible parents and amazing dog Roscoe, in their Chicago home. Here's a sneak into our session... {Family} I had the honor and pleasure to photograph this wonderful family.
Luna Sky and Noah are the cutest siblings ever! Here's a few sneaks from our session. I whipped up these Banana Chocolate Berry Pancakes today. Of course, I had to drizzle them in chocolate. Sometimes, you just need to treat yourself to something that makes you smile. We have officially declared Tuesdays to be Treat Yourself Tuesdays! How do you treat yourself? What makes you giggle and smile wide?
Moonlit BeautyThese images were shot in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin during a 2013 family summer retreat. I snapped these photos around midnight. It was pretty dark out as you can imagine, so I used a tripod and left my shutter open for a long time to achieve this moon-lit view that I was seeing. It was really quite stunning. I love that you can see the stars as well as the shadows and curves in the sand. I can't wait to return this year and capture a long exposure time lapse. |
